The Mondialist marks World Interfaith Harmony Week, which took place in the first week of February. The annual event “was proposed by H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan at the United Nations General Assembly in 2010 and unanimously adopted by resolution 65/5 on 20 October 2010. … A platform is provided for one week a year where all interfaith groups and other groups of good will can show the world what a vibrant movement they are. The events organised by these groups allow people to get to know each other and strengthen the movement.”

On the United Nations Foundation website, Pete Ogden considers “How The United States And Japan Can Be Climate Leaders,” writing that new U.S. President Joe Biden “has made abundantly clear that he intends to make combating climate change a core priority for his administration,” and Japan “is well positioned to be a powerful partner of the United States in ushering in this new era. It is an opportunity that our two countries — for the sake of our climate, our economies, and our security — cannot afford to miss.”
