— The Union of European Federalists has issued an “Appeal to the European Institutions and Governments of the Member States,” urging them to use the Conference on the Future of Europe to discuss how Europe can “define a truly European migration policy”, “make Europe a model of sustainable development and of successful ecological and digital transition”, “implement a successful mechanism for the protection of rule of law, democracy and fundamental rights in all EU member States”, and “define the foundations of a genuine European democracy, both from an institutional point of view and from the point of view of the creation of a common public space, promoting transnational European movements and parties”, among other issues.

— Fritz Pointer of Democratic World Federalists writes in an online essay that the decision of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights “to probe racist violence in the United States…is a BIG Deal! With so many Global issues to bring before the United Nations’ concerning Human Rights,” for the UN Human Rights Council “to task the High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet with preparing a report by June 2021 on ‘systemic racism, violations of international human rights law against Africans and people of African descent’ by racist law enforcement agencies across the United States is both long-awaited, noteworthy and necessary.”

— In the political publication The Hill, New York Sun contributing editor Paul Atkinson looks at the foreign policy agenda of incoming United States President Joe Biden in comparison with the internationalist ideals of Woodrow Wilson, writing that Biden “hopes to revive the idealist impulse and reset the tricky balance between a U.S. commitment to both multilateralism and national self-interest.”
